Author Bio: Adam Marland

Adam Marland grew up in Oregon. He studied Journalism and Marketing at the Oregon Institute of Technology, where he discovered his passion for writing and photography working for the university newspaper.

In 2012, Adam left a career in hotel management to begin traveling full-time as a freelance landscape photographer. He has visited all 50 US states and more than 50 different countries in over a decade of travel.

In 2021, Adam was selected from over 150,000 applicants to become the Chief Exploration Officer for the National Park Foundation. He left this role to become a co-creator of the We Dream of Travel blog.
